The aim of the event was to help the national and foreign fans of German Shorthair Pointers to find out more about the quality of breeding, the performance of dogs both in terms of outward appearance (breeding qualities), and in terms of working on the fields and in water. It also encouraged dog breeders to provide higher quality standards and to start and support the deeper understanding of field and water work for hunters and pointer guides.
On the first day of the main breeding exam the judgement of outward appearances took place, during which the finest of the finest dogs were selected based on the usual criteria. Here are the 5 top female and male dogs:
Bitches
Uljana vom Hinschen-Hof
Kea von der Broklands-Au
Kevi-LatorFecske
Fanny II von Bockhöft
Juwel vom Moosbach
Males
Blu
Emir vom Hirschenacker
Diego vom Perlbachtal
Odin II vom Schnepfenstrich
Marko von Neuarenberg
On the following Saturday, the German Shorthaired Pointer dogs competed in 40 judgement rounds both in the water and on the field. 5 dogs took the exam in each judgement round with the professional involvement of 3 judges. The water and field work lasted throughout the day, and at the end of the exam, the judges selected one dog from each group, which was presented in double search or some other activity task. The Shorthaired Pointer with the best performance won the title of the Winner of CACIT International Work Competition.
